Mini Slider Burgers!

The inspiration for having slider burgers for dinner came when I had a Hawaiian Dinner roll one random day. "How cute. They look like mini burger buns." Ding! Lightbulb.

These mini slider burgers were so good that Chhally, my sister, and brother asked me to make em twice! Chhally was so enthusiastic about em, he helped me cook them and even took the pictures for me for the blog.

We started with about 1.30 lbs of ground beef. Seasoned with 1/2 teaspoon of each: salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and finely crushed parsley flakes. King's Hawaiian Dinner Rolls and your choice of toppings. We kept it simple with cheese and pickles.

The patties have to be very thin and flat. We cooked them on our cast iron grill pan. For lovely grill marks!

As one side was done cooking, we flipped them over to let the other side cook. We cut regular Kraft cheese slices and placed them on the burgers while they were still on the grill pan. Then we sliced all of the Hawaiian rolls and placed the top piece on the cheese. This helped the cheese melt into the now warmed bun.

Meanwhile, on the bottom slices of the rolls, add pickles and other toppings of your choice.

When the burgers are cooked, place it on top!

Tip: instead of adding condiments in the burger, dip these mini sliders into the sauces (ketchup, ranch, bbq sauce) as you eat them. Much easier and less drip!

This recipe should use up all of the beef and the rolls, making 12 mini sliders in all. Perfect for us = 3 sliders each for a family of four. We cut up some fresh cucumbers and had fresh grapes for a side dish.

Happy Eating!
